ok well xbox and ps3 basically have the same games, unless you just REALLY wanna play halo or something, theres no difference there.

controller:
xbox= heavier, and bigger in the hands, (i prefer over ps3)
ps3= lighter controller, hand placement feels a bit wierd at first, but u quickly get used to it.

Online:
xbox= xbox's online i have to say is better, simply because they have more stuff. only downfall is u have to pay.
ps3: free online, and its almost the same thing.

Graphics: there pretty much the same, not really anything to worry about.

VERDICT:
it really boils down to the fact that theyre both good consoles, so it depends on if u want to pay for live or not. and if your friends are on xbox or ps3. sop whichever really.

GRAPHICS: nearly the same on both, however some have stated xbox is slightly better (differences in contrast and colour)

GAMES: Xbox is known to have many more games. PS3 has better exclusives (killzone 2, heavy rain, god of war 3 and many more) But at the end of the day, the majority of games are on both.


ONLINE: XBL and PSN are more or less the same for gameplay, however more on xbox have headsets (cause its included with the xbox). Video content and stuff is better on XBL

CONTROLLER: Originally, I preferred the XBOX controller for first person shooter games, but now I don't really mind, the ps3 controller is more practical and smaller, the batteries last longer, and charge quickly.

PS3 is more reliable, and respected. it has Blu ray
XBOX is not reliable.

PS3! My reason is because when I had a 360, I replaced it like three times for issues not even related to the Red Ring of Death, by each and every year. PS3 has a smaller controller which is comfortable to me. There's no difference between graphics, but the PS3 does have a faster processor so it won't lag while playing. PS3 has Blu-ray, built-in wifi, and has free internet, while 360 has a DVD-ROM, no wifi if you buy the big boy, and cost $48 a year for XBOX Live, heard many prices, but that is my calculation. PS3 is more mature and has better exclusives like Uncharted 2 and inFamous while XBOX 360 is for younger people, which is why there is a lot of kids on XBOX Live, and exclusives that are OK, did not like Halo, though. PS3 is actually cheaper because it has a lot of features, while 360 does get costly for online play. They are both good consoles, but PS3 is just more reliable. The one advantage for 360 is that they have a bigger community. Maybe when I go to my cousins' house, you could find me on PSN since they have cable. Just look for XclusivSwag. Need something to do over there anyway.

9) Tech support speaks english and appears to be located in America, they understood my name and my question.
10) Controllers come with built in rechargable battery and can be charged with any usb port.
11) easy to navigate menus
12) No ridiculous power brick, one cord, if you want to take your ps3 with you somewhere you only need the controller, the unit and the power cord.

Ps3 Cons:
1) No IR receiver, you can't use your regular universal remote to control the ps3 you need a bluetooth which means an extra remote.
2) Shape, this one sounds stupid, but the rounded shape of the ps3 really annoys me because you can't stack, say your wii, or even lay your remotes on top of the unit. (maybe you shouldn't do that anyhow LOL)
3) Less games, or at this point I guess the better point would be less games made for the ps3, instead of built for the xbox and ported to the ps3, this is however changing and in the future will be less of an issue.

Xbox 360 Pros:
1) Great online setup, lots of features which some may miss on the ps3, many probably will not
2) great game line up with a head start on ps3
3) Easy to navigate menus
4) Native Netflix Support

Xbox 360 Cons:
1) Noise
2) Build Quality
3) Online service is $50 per year.
4) Tech support, I have called xbox live support several times, it is impossible to get them to understand what the issue is or even my name, I even gave up once.
