Playstation 3's are great systems, here are some points to help you win them over:
-PLays Blu-Ray
-Many family/party games such as LittleBigPlanet, ModNation Racers and Rockband
-Now $299, a great price considering the size of the hard drive.
-Free online, as opposed to 360 (gonna cost you a nice $60 a year)
-Controlers are WAY less expensive than 360 (Hard drive is bigger aswell)
-You'll earn the money, plus you're responsible enough to handle the console

THe PS3 is a great system, with some of the greatest cinematic and gameplay experiences around (MGS4 and Uncharted 2 for example).

Tell them the family will profit much more as a whole from the PS3 as opposed to a PSP or DS (onl you play that) as well.

well, unless all you want is one game, (which is not a bad idea, cuz most people get a ps3 just for COD.) dont think about getting it yourself, cuz after you buy the system, you need the games too. try to convince them to buy it for you or, if you just want COD, let you sell your games, cuz i dont understand why your parents wont let you sell your own games.

Ps3 Cons:
1) No IR receiver, you can't use your regular universal remote to control the ps3 you need a bluetooth which means an extra remote.
2) Shape, this one sounds stupid, but the rounded shape of the ps3 really annoys me because you can't stack, say your wii, or even lay your remotes on top of the unit. (maybe you shouldn't do that anyhow LOL)
3) Less games, or at this point I guess the better point would be less games made for the ps3, instead of built for the xbox and ported to the ps3, this is however changing and in the future will be less of an issue.
