Back in 1983 Click Here a bunch of bad video games came out (like E.T.) and everybody quit buying them. in 1985 Nintendo made video games popular again with "Super Mario Bros" and Nintendo was the most popular video game company at least until the mid 90's, but a lot of stupid games are coming out for the Wii like this Click Here I know good games are coming out for every other system other than th DS (for DS and Wii almost all the games that aren't made by Nintendo are horrible some are good but I see a lot of stupid ones) I guess with the Xbox 360 and the PS3 and PC's we won't have anymore crashes?

I am asking this again as last time i got a lot of replies like Fallout 3, great game! but it's not Point and click.

I have been looking all over the place and i have either already played it or not interested.

I would like something with a a Third-Person view i really can't seem to get into first person ones. I love scifi, mystorys, horrors, and thrillers detective games are great! I have played quite a few of the older Point and click games like broken sword they are great, but i want something 3D and more high on the graphics, so not that old i guess.

I do have a PS3 and have played Heavy Rain it was fantastic! but i still feel fahrenheit / indigo prophecy was better.

I was looking for something on the PC, i do own a Xbox 360, PS3, and a PS2 .. But from what i have seen most of the point and click games are PC only but that's fine. I have looked at the Myst series and Syberia but I'm not really sure if there quite my thing .. But if no one suggests anything else i might give them a go.

Why isn't my Playstation game downloading?

Ok, so I went out and bought a 20 dollar Psn card and put it in my Ps3. I went to go buy a game (Scott Pilgrim VS. The World) and the transactions went fine but when I went to go download it, it said activating, than it said installing, instead of downloading, and it finished in like 2 seconds. I went and checked my games and it wasn't in there so I went back to the Playstation store and went to my download history and tried again but it just did the same thing! I tried over and over again. I even tried restarting my Playstation and trying it won't download!!! I tried downloading another game after that (Linger in Shadows) and it downloaded fine, but for some reason The Scott Pilgrim VS. The World game will not download!!! Please help!!!!
I tried that and it didn't work :/
I figured it out. It turns out that you have to play the demo which unlocks the game to buy! I don't know why they do it like that but they do. Thanks anyways!!!

For some reason I was on a site playing games on my ipod touch and there was a porn site. Yup this is what it sounds like, while I was zooming in it see the game names my ipod senced that I tapped the screen and I was on the site. I cleared the history and got out of there right away. But now i`m worried because there are 2 computers in my house along with a laptop and other internet using devices (ex. PS3). I checked the history in all 3 of the computers and I didn`t see my ipods history included it the computers.

Help, can my parents somehow see on the computers what i was on, can they see any site I go on with my ipod

Battlefield Bad Company 2: PS3 or 360?

Here's my issue. I want to get the game. I tried the Beta, but at the time, I was having Internet Problems, and therefore I think I misjudged the game. The 1st Bad Company was good in my opinion, but I never got to try the Multiplayer since it was an old game at the time.

I want to get it for the PS3, but my recent history with FPS Demos on the PS3 have shown that the controls are much harder on there due to the Controller Layout. But, I do have a friend that plays Battlefield on the PS3 however, and has encouraged me to get it. And, I haven't really tried the Beta on the PS3 version, so I don't know about the controls, I'm just going by history of FPS games I've played on there.

The 360 Beta I played had better controls. And I know it has a larger amount of players online. But, after talking recently with my friends on Xbox Live, they don't plan on buying the game. A buddy of mine I know MIGHT buy it, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I know it sounds stupid to some, but hey, Yahoo Answers is full of stupid questions, and seems like the place to help people make decisions. So what should I do? Buy the PS3 Version? Buy the 360 Version? Or should I just save my money?

My mom and me both think my brother has ADHD because

He never wants to listen.
Has extremely short attention span, and can never pay attention in class.
He can never concentrate and gets easily distracted.
He says when he listens to someone speaking he doesn't understand straight away.
Has really hyper moments.
Very quick temper.
Always fidgeting.
Does things without thinking.
Can never remember anything.

I know he is really smart hes good in math and knows a lot of things.
We have no history of anybody in our family with ADHD.
And our mom and dad are apart now but there was a lot of fighting but I don't think this has anything to do with my brother maybe having ADHA, because we were wondering this a long time before that.
Hes 11 going to be 12 in July.
I don't know if any of this info will help but I think history usely has a lot to do with things like this so I put that hoping it would help.
Were(me and my mom) are thinking about getting him tested for it, and oh ya hes support to be going to 7 grade but he was put in 4 grade this year but he took a test thing and they said he should be put in 3 grade but hes really smart, sometimes.
Oh ya he acts really lazy all the time and plays games(like the ps3, xbox, gameboy, etc) all the time like night and day.
Pleas this will really help because my moms wants to wait it out to hes older but I heard you can kinda overcome ADHA if you have treatment at a young age, I don't know if that's true or not but pleas tell me what you think if he has it or not.

What should I do when ebay seller claims to have given a refund (see details)?

Here's the situation:

I bought a 60GB PS3 off ebay. The seller looked pretty trustworthy (6000+ stars, 99.5% feedback). The console was listed as gently used and working. When I received it, unfortunately, it was a total piece of junk. It wouldn't turn on 99% of the time, and when it did, the video picture would be a mess. So, I contacted them and asked for a replacement, which they sent, but it turned out to be a 40GB - not the model I ordered. I was getting frustrated at this point, especially because their policy was that the buyer pay return shipping. I sent the 40GB back and emailed them and asked for a refund. They said they would. It's been about a week since then. I've checked paypal regularly, but there are no records of my receiving funds from them. For my transaction with them it only shows the initial payment I made about a month ago, but nothing else. (On a side note, I'm checking under My account>History>Payments Received but it's blank). To make things more complicated, I just received a package from them, which I haven't opened yet, but I'm pretty sure contains another PS3. Even if it's a working, correct model, I just want my money back since I bought a new PS3 from someone else.

Since I asked for a refund and they sent me a console, can they foot the return shipping expenses?

In regards to getting my money back, I know I could call them or file a claim, but I'm not really sure what to do right now. It hasn't been 30 days yet, but it's getting close. I still have all the emails/messages.

He knows how i feel about porn and when i caught him looking at it once before, i went to my room crying and he told me he felt really bad and that it was an addiction and hell stop. He doesnt feel bad at all on how it hurts me. I already have problems with myself self consiously. I dont understand why he has to look at porn. Does anybody know how i can help cope with this or something i can do? This whole situation is killing me right now.

My boyfriend and I live together. I am almost 4 month pregnant and everything was going fine, until I found out he is addicted to porn. I find it on the ps3 EVERYDAY. He watches all kinds of porn and looks up chat lines and naked girls profiles. I also found that he was looking up his ex girlfriend on facebook that he says he hates and is glad they broke up 3 years ago. If I were to look up ANY guys on facebook no matter who they were he would be pissed off. Much less if I was watching porn and looking at all these naked guys he said he wouldnt like that either. So why is it okay for him to do it?? I told him he has an addiction and hes doing these things everyday as soon as i leave the house. I tried to tell him that it really hurts my feelings and makes me feel like I'm not good enough for him. I mean I have a big butt and big in other good places so I could look like those stupid porn stars if I wanted so I dont understand why he HAS to look at them and watch them fucking people every single day. We also have sex a lot now. Before we were hardly having sex and I think that is because it was when I didnt know about his little addiction so he just used the excuse that he was tired. But now that he knows I know about it and that I hate it he has more sex with me I think just to shut me up. It's hard to live with someone like this because he looks at it EVERY chance he gets and its not fair. Im pregnant and I shouldnt have to deal with this stupid stress. I purchased and downloaded Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and the Damned for PS3 from PSN. After being downloaded the game was installed successfully, but I can't find where to access it. It's listed in my transaction history, download history, and game utility data, but not under the game disc and trophy icons with the rest of my downloaded games and demos. I have the disc for GTA IV but I was under the impression it wasn't needed. What am I doing wrong and how can I play the game?

Hello i have just recently baught a playstation3 about 2 months ago. Let me start by saying this thing is great i am completely blown away by everything about it..I dled Playstation HOME and look at alot of stuff online.Lately my ps3 has been freezing and booting me off the psn for some reason...Im very worried so i deleted all my cookies and history...including home..etc.. Could a bad file from the internet or playstation home been causing my ps3 to have these problems? PLEASE HELP ME!

Will Game Stop accept a faulty Xbox 360?

I am strongly considering trading in my xbox 360 because I am having problems with it. Freezing, E71, and three red lights occasionally. I am also thinking on trading in all my games and accessories with it.
Will GS allow my to trade in my xbox 360 that works but sometimes has these problems? I am trying to get the money or trade in value to get a PS3. I have had my 360 for four years and it has had the hardware failure (3 red lights flashing) before and faked it until it got it permanently. I sent it in to Microsoft for a free repair. ( I was still in warranty) got it back and it worked fine for over a year. Until yesterday and today where my 360 will not get as far as the xbox 360 logo before freezing. I am out of warranty and don't want to pay $100 to get it fixed by Microsoft. I get other errors as well like the E71 and sometimes the three red lights. I never got a new system as Microsoft was able to fix my original one that I bought because it had the same serial number as it had before I sent it off the MS. It was manufactured Jan. 27, 2006. Dates: 3-17-06: (Day I got my new X360). 7-25-08. (Day my 360 got the RROD for real and did not fake it.) 8-3-08. (Day I got my 360 back from Microsoft repaired.) 3-21-10. (date my 360 started having problems, freezing alot and sometimes showing the E71 and 3 red lights.) Could I still get a free repair for the fact that my 360 is old? Or could I trade it in to GS and can they refurbish the console to working order when I sell it to them? I am REALLY tired of my 360 having problems and the Xbox 360 in general known to have problems. I think its time for a new console, one that just works and that does not have as bad of a history as the 360. There are a lot of games I am looking forward to playing on the 360 but if this is the issues that I am expected to deal with and or have to buy a new 360 for. Then I am going to pass on that. Notice the dates are in two year spans. Showing my 360 worked good for only two years at a time from being bought new to being "repaired" by Microsoft. They should have a life time warranty on their products with reoccurring problems like this or develop a better console. What should I do? because I used all other options before and don't want to pay or have to get a new one (unless for free) to continue to enjoy my games and online experience that Xbox Live offers. The Sony PlayStation 3 is looking interesting every day I have a problematic 360 that turns on a have no idea what it will do. Is this the end of my time with a Microsoft console and time to move to the Sony console? Thank you for all answers and advice. As I am devastated to what is happening to my 360 again.

Ok! If you are still reading this, that means that you can help me in my serious problem.
Before I start, I need to tell you that I have been diagnosed with a mild case of ADHD, meaning that I can't really stay on task, and I have a very low attention span. I find myself dozing off, and always relaxing.

It all started back in mid-October, when I got my new computer. I was so excited, and I got Modern Warfare 2. I continuosly played, and still play, Modern Warfare 2, most of the time. When I was in Gr 3-5, I was a star student. I had excellent grades, lots of friends, everything was good. Then, it all went downhill. Starting from Gr. 6, I already had a lot of B's in my report card. My parents, being Russian, don't accept B's, and scold me if I get anything lower than an A, not even an A-.

Now, from gr.7, I transferred to a different school, into the gifted program. Everything went pretty bad then. My english, history and geography marks were in the low B's. I was hardly maintaing my math and science up, but I could deal with it. They were still A's. I just have a very bad literatery skill. I don't know how to write a good essay for my life.

Now, I'm in gr.8, one year before high school. I find it more and more difficult to get A's, and this coming report card, I'm expecting a C in my history section, and lots of B's in my reading, writing and literacy sections. My science an A-, and my math an A. Today, my mom, being the one that always scolds me, told me that if I get anything lower than an A, my computer privilages, and everything else (TV, Wii, PS3), will be gone, until the next report card (summer), and only if I get good grades then.

About a week ago, I had a TV put into my room, so that I could watch the 2010 olympics in my room, while I'm doing some other stuff.

I know that I will be doing horribly in high school, if I don't improve. I hate doing homework, and miss deadlines a lot. I am more concentrated on my MW2 games, TV, etc. My teacher hates me, doesn't have any trust in me. When I hand in something late, BOOM, she sends and e-mail home, and my mom scolds me, grounding me.

I love my parents. I love them more than anything in the world. Yet, at the same time I hate them. I often find myself muttering inappropriate things about them. I also recently had thoughts about running away, but they aren't reasonable. My parents spoil me. New computer, TV put into my room, every game station. However, they scold me if I do anything wrong. This greatly upsets me. I get so enraged when I get grounded.

I also take proffesional piano classes. Recently, my dad stopped helping me with piano, because I yelled at him for making me do something repetedly. I look back at it now, and I laugh at myself, for doing something this stupid. Me and my dad have absolutely no great relationship now. We hardly talk to each other. I hate myself for doing this.

At times, I like my music teacher better than my parents. I think he understands me more than they do sometimes. Now, I have trouble playing piano by myself, so when my teacher comes, I am very happy. I also like to talk with friends about my feelings sometimes.

I am thinking of creating a little schedule for myself, so as I could see it and do homework at 5pm, for example, and play PC at another time.

I find myself having troubles studying for tests. Recently, I got a 56 on my history test. This devestaded me. Mostly, this is because of the computer. I really want to get rid of it, but at the same time, I love it more than anything (I know, its weird...I'm trying to get over this problem) IT IS RUINING MY LIFE!!! I am so afraid of the report card soon. My mom will be so unhappy. Right now, I'm not even thinking about the computer privilages. I'm thinking about high school, university. If I don't improve, and get better relationships with my parents, I will become, for exmple, a hobo or something, no offence to hobos worldwide (pce out)...

Should I get a PS3 now?

Should I buy a PS3 or wait a couple of years for the PS4?
I've had a Wii since launch, and I don't want an xbox 360.
My only fear is that once I buy a PS3, in a year or two (2011-2012) the PS4 might be announced/released.
Should I stick with my Wii and wait a couple years until the next gen.
Or should I risk it and buy a PS3 now?
Keep in mind that the PS3 has been out for quite some time, and I'm fearful that my money will go to waste. History has shown that consoles usually last around 5 years or so. Do you think that means a PS4 will soon be announced? Many speculate that a new system is just over the horizon.
Then again, with the recent development of Project Natal for the xbox360 and the motion controller for PS3, it would seem that they are still going strong into supporting the current gen. Should I wait for E3 this year for further announcements?
What are your thoughts?

I recently moved from Michigan to Utah and left all of my friends that I have known my whole life. I am 14 years old, I have the voice of a 10 year old girl. I am home schooled because I didn't fit in in any of the new schools. All I ever do anymore is play on Xbox Live but now my 360 got the red ring of death and my parents have more than enough money to pay for a new one. It was the only connection that I had to my old friends from Michigan. I have asthma, bad allergies, anxiety, I am lactose Intolerant, flat feet, my feet face to the side like a duck, I have to wear glasses, My eyes look huge, I am bi-sexual, I have been told that I look like an alien, My PS3 can hardly ever get online anymore (and we have a good internet connection), I am too short for my age, I have random tendencies to laugh at the worst times, I am half black and nobody ever believes me, I can't even get a girlfriend or a boyfriend, my family has history of high blood pressure, My skin is pale as heck, My clothes never fit me, Sometimes I feel like I want to get a gender change, and I come from a Catholic family -_- I want to die.

He says SOMETIMES when there are updates, it deletes the history and predictive text, but on MY user name, all of my history is always there.

He also says he deletes history sometimes as well because it "takes up space" on the hard drive...

Intel's i7975 Quad Core vs. The Cell processor?

Sorry for being a noob, but i need help clearing this question that has surfing around the internet.

I know little basic knowledge about computers and the history behind it. I know the first PC was developed by IBM, right? And later PC's were just clones of the IBM's.

Anyway I've been searching around the net for IBM and computer related news, and found that IBM Roadrunner (June 2008 – November 2009) was rated #2 on the super computers list. Anyway it talked about how many tflops it has how the speed of the computer is measured in flops.

Now with my question which CPU is;

1. More powerful (in terms of raw power)? Cell or Intel's i7 975?
2. More practical for making games (time and money won't be a concern)?
3. If AMD makes the CPU or help develop for supercomputers, then why is Intel's i7's, dual core and quad cores have been killing them in the PC market?
4. Can the PS3's Cell handle Crysis on high res. max outed? I'm talking about the Cell's not the PS3's limited ram and rsx gpu card.

Is this Ebay buyer a scammer?

I'm selling my PS3 on Ebay, and a guy messaged me offering me $900 for it, which doesn't seem to crazy since it's one of those rare 60GB models. I checked his/her profile on Ebay, and it says he/she lives in Philadelphia, has been with Ebay for 9 years, and has excellent feedback. We worked out that $900 was good, and he/she was set to make the payment. I soon received an e-mail from what I hope was the real PayPal letting me know that a transaction was made, and the due amount, and whatnot, but when I went to my PayPal account, there's no money pending, and no transaction history at all. The person then told me that the place to ship it to was Nigeria, not Philadelphia, and on top of that their Yahoo profile says they live in New York. I looked up Nigerian scams, which apparently there's a lot of, but this person doesn't seem to be doing any of that stuff- they're not asking for any personal information at all, so I'm not sure if this is a scam or not. So, a summary of the problems: does the PayPal money not even go into a pending status until the item is shipped, or did he just fake a PayPal e-mail or something? If I were to ship out the item, but not receive the money, would there be any sort of reimbursement or seller protection service available? And, most importantly, is this person just trying to scam me or something?

So I got my pre-order download content code for MAG via email today from Play.com and entered it into the "Redeem Codes" section of the PSN Store.
A pop-up appeared for the Dynamic Theme, and then for the SVER character skin, then proceeded to download the Dynamic Theme, however, it never listed the SVER character skin.
Checking my download history, only the Dynamic Theme is listed, and if I re-enter the code, it will now only list the Dynamic Theme and not anything else.

How do I download the SVER character skin, or is there something going belly up here?

How to deal with my overly strict parents?

My parents are very strict, especially when it comes to academics. I am in mostly honors/advanced classes, in an already tough school. I get mostly B+'s, except I have an A in Biology. However, last marking period, I had gotten an A in History, and a B in Spanish 2. They have dropped a little bit (I have a B+ in History, and a C+ in Spanish 2, currently). However, I went from a D in Geometry last marking period to a C currently (geometry is difficult for me, even though I had an A in Algebra). They seem to have very high expectations for me, because most people think I am very bright for my age. Because of these slight drops in my grades, they have not allowed me to play PS3, go on the computer, and they restrict the amount of time I can spend with my friends. This is a problem for me, because playing PS3 (Modern Warfare 2) is how I relieve my stress, which is supplied by school, and my parents being on my back constantly. They seem to think that playing PS3 gets in the way of studying, which it really doesn't, because I always make sure I've finished my homework and have finished studying before I play PS3. Whenever I try to talk about them about this, they simply reject my opinion, tell me that I can get it back when my grades go back to where they were before, and on occasion yell at me. They don't punish my younger brother (age 9), even though he only gets B's. Maybe this is because they have higher expectations for me? I really don't know how to deal with this situation. I believe punishing me isn't the correct way to deal with this. What should I do?

I'm also a freshman in High School.
I haven't told them I play COD to relieve stress yet. I'm guessing that would help?
I'm also wondering if showing them these answers would help? That might get them a little ticked off.

Who thinks metal gear 4 is overrated?

I had my ps3 for 3 months. I got demon souls, both resistance fall of man games, Both Uncharted games, and Metal Gear 4. I love all my games except metal gear. Now don't get me wrong i got history with the series. I played part 1 on playstation and thought it was a cool game at the time. I owned part 2 on ps2 and loved it until i couldn't play as solid snake any more, and as for part 3 snake eater i completely skipped. This newest one does nothing for me. I hate the phone book instruction manual for the game. I get the controls mixed up constantly, and don't get me started on the cut scenes and the talking!!!! I could deal with that on the older consoles, but on ps3 i just don't have the patience cause i feel it is a waste of time and does not hold my interest and the story is confusing. Only thing i really like is how it looks good on my hdtv. My buddy loves this game and he keeps bugging me to give it a shot, but every time all i do is turn it off and play something else. i cant believe how some people think this is the best ps3 game, give me uncharted 2 ANY day sorry. Why won't Youtube videos load all the way?

People ask the same question that I'm asking right now, and other people leave the exact same responses. "Clear your browsing history" "Delete temporary internet files" "Delete cookies" "Enable all cookies" "Get a faster internet connection." But none of those things are the problem. I've tried every single one. And my internet connection is perfect. No matter what I do, youtube videos won't load on my laptop. It will load a little bit, but then stop. If I drag the bar a couple seconds after the point where it stopped, it will load a little bit further and then stop again. But it will never load all the way, and it's pissing me off. When I go on Youtube from my PS3's internet browser, the videos load just fine, so it must be my laptop. Please, somebody help me! And please don't leave any of the responses I listed above.

HELP! Playstation Home says "You are not old enough to access Playstation Home"?

I've been playing Playstation Home on my PS3 but I created a sub-account so that I could start some video games over without having a history. The problem is that when I try to sign onto PLAYSTATION HOME with the sub-account it tells me that I'm not old enough. I don't remember entering my age when I created the sub account and I can't find any place with that kind of information to change it. hi i got a 87.8% average on my report card today so now im grounded for a month which is no ps3 no going out and no friends over. my mom says that i should study more, and today i studied science and history and even prepared for my next lesson. and my mom is looking for a school with a bunch of egyptians and palestinians(no offense but i want friends of the same nationality) which is supposedly a good school but i want to convince her out of it and IF i can end my punishment early because finals are in a month so i won't play any ps3.

Why do people always compare the PS3 and 360 based on specs rather than on their games?

I mean really, I feel like I'm stuck in 1997. Anyone who is old enough to have played video games during the Nintendo/Sega war KNOWS that specs don't mean crap if the games aren't good. The Sega Genesis boated twice as many bits as the NES did, but which system was lightyears better? Obviously the NES beat out the Genesis because it had a lot of great games while Sega just had a few Sonic games.

Is anyone else feeling like history is just repeating itself? That people are more focused on processing and online support that they're forgetting the GAME part of "video game console"? How long will it take people to realize that you can have the best graphics in the world, the fastest loading time in the world, and the best online support in the world, but if the games on another system are better then all those specs are pointless? It seems even many video game companies are forgetting this as well; focusing on online content and DLC and promoting their system rather than the games for it.

Nowadays most titles are cross-platform (which often results in the PS3 getting them a lot later because of the difficulty to program for it in relation to the 360) but there are still several huge developers that remain exclusive to one system.

In fact the only company that seems to know this is the one that existed during the last console war, Nintendo. The Wii doesn't need a stellar processor to put out entertaining games. And while now they seem more focused on appealing to non-video game players, they still seem to know very well that games are the heart and soul of a console, not the console itself.

So WHY do people keep insisting on comparing the PS3 and 360 based on their specs? Sooner or later they will learn not to, but really, what's the deal?
