Pytanie #3:

buy a PC and connect my ps3 to it's monitor or buy a laptop and a hd tv ?

I want to play my ps3 in HD and at the same time i need to buy a fast and strong laptop ...
I thought a little and i figured out a two options and I need your opinion.
my first option and the one i prefer the most is to buy a laptop and a HD screen for my PS3 .

my second is to buy the HD screen and a PC (excluding a monitor) and connect both the computer and the PS3 to the screen .

BTW .. I really don't like a desktop because it's not portable , but i like it because it's strong and fast.
I really need your opinion and just so you know , I am only 14 years old so I am not that capable ...

Red Dead Redemption
Final Fantasy 13
Metal Gear Solid 4
Metal Gear Solid peace maker
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
Assasins Creed 1&2
Assasins Creed bloodlines
Lost Odyssey
Dragon Age Origins
FF Crisis Core
Valkyria Chronicles
GTA 4
Resonance of Fate

Much appreciated!

Pytanie #7:

Whats the best portable Gaming console for me?

Well what it is, im going to University in September, and there will be alot of waiting at stations and on trains where was thinking of using a handheld console. When i was younger (18 now) i was addicted to the Gameboy range XD. I had a PSP when it first came out, and it had no games:/. I currently have a iPhone 3GS, its good fr 5min, but the grahics are crap, and isn't a real game console.

Ive been looking at the games look a load better now, it might be because im older and like the GTA series etc.
I've played on the Nintendo DS series, but never owned one, so i dont know the true potential about it.

I know it depends on the games i like aswell, so i will give a brief explanation. The games i mainly play is on the xbox 360, and PC now.. but i have a PS3 aswell.

The main games i play are, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Formula 1, Crash Bandicoot 3 (PS1 retro), Call of duty (before the multilayer was broke), GTA IV,

So its mainly racing and FPS games, (but if i got a type of Nintendo i would instantly get pokemon :D )

So what would it be?

Nindendo DS Lite
PSP-3000
PSP Go (i know it doesnt have UMD)

or should i wait for the Nintendo 3DS

Pytanie #10:

Why is there less variety in video games nowadays?

I may sound like an old over enthusiastic retro gaming maniac, but honestly, the consoles of the 90's had MUCH more of a variety of games. The SNES, Mega Drive, PS1, and N64 had games of all types of games. Platformers, RPGs, FPS, Sports, Racing, Party, Puzzle, and all that stuff. Now:

The wii only has boring, non-addictive, overly cutesy (The N64 wasn't as cutesy with games as this) platform games that make me less loyal to Nintendo now, As well as stupid puzzle games, Wii Fit (Pointless), and maybe a few crappily made Resident Evil games.

The Xbox 360 isn't as bad, it has some variety, but it's nothing compared to anything from the past

The PS3 only pretty much has the same old military shooters we've been playing for a while with little innovation whatsoever. And maybe LittleBigCrap, full of poor control, a not so customizable and frustrating level creator.

The portable systems only have cutesy little puzzle games that don't take the full potential of the systems, or crappy ports of console games.

Has anyone noticed this?
I guess Nintendo has been sucking ever since Rareware stopped publishing for them. They made awesome shooters like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.
Bad fur day is awesome, BUT DAMN CONKER KILLS ME!

Pytanie #11:

Why do people say that the xbox 360 is better than the ps3 if SONY makes alot of good stuff?

Such as PSPs Cd Players TVs and alot of electronics. If Microsoft thinks that they are so cool then why dont they make a microsoft portable? Like the playstation portable??

Pytanie #12:

Out of the two gaming systems, which gaming system do you like better- the original psp 1000, or the 60 gb ps3?

I like the original psp because it can be hacked, get internet access, is portable, can be connected to a big stereo system for higher audio and sound qualities, can play games, do movies, and music, just like a computer, and you can use headphones with it so it doesn't disturb people, unlike a ps3. You have to admit, for a miniature screen, you're getting a lot for what you pay for. Any imputs and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Pytanie #13:

Choose between the PSP Go and the PSP 3000?

I'm planning on buying a PSP (I already have a PS3 and a DSlite), and was torn between choosing the PSP Go and the PSP 3000. I am mainly a player of RPGs (I am planning on buying Persona 3 Portable), and a big thing for me would be image quality. Any comments or recommendations would be appreciated, and other game suggestions as well. Thanks!

Pytanie #14:

The playstation portable core psp 1000 is the best system ever. Agree of disagree. I agree.?

I many reasons to support this. Here are some of the following reasons on why I think this.

1. It is convenient because it is portable.

2. For a handheld system, it has awesome graphics, much better than the ds.

3. It has a huge game selection, probably just as much if not more than the ps2, and definitely more than the ps3.

4. It can play games, do music, photos, and movies, just like a computer. It's amazing how much can fit just on one screen lol.

5. It can be hacked legally and get internet access with a pandora battery and a magic memory stick. To everyone who says it is illegal, you are wrong. It is only illegal if you abuse the privilege and download games illegally, but if you just use the psp for online surfing, it IS NOT illegal.

6. You can also use it with headphones so it doesn't disturb people, and it has really high sound quality, unlike things like the ds.

7. You can also connect it to a big stereo system to produce higher sound quality for sound for movies and music.

8. Last but not least, the psp fat is just so awesome and is the best system ever.

Go PSP 1000!

Pytanie #15:

Pytanie #17:

Which hand held game system would be best for me?

I'm 20 and I haven't had a portable video game system in years... I had a Game Boy Advance ages ago and found it last week with no idea where the games are. I used to love playing Mario and Pokemon on it. I'd like to get a new one just for entertainment when I'm bored at home but I don't know which to get.

I'm NOT a gamer by any means. My brother has a PS3 and a Wii and all I play is Guitar Hero and the new Super Mario game for Wii, though I rarely play at all. I have an old SNES which I LOVED as a child.

What's best system for someone who will only play casually?

Pytanie #20:

my ps3 wont recognise my portable hdd, will reformatting it on the computer help the ps3 recognise it?

so when i click reformat on my hdd it has to options:ntfs or exfat, would formatting it to exfat make my ps3 recognise it so i can watch movies? thanks any help

Pytanie #21:

Can I use both the FAT32 and NTFS on the same external hard drive?

I recently bought an external hard drive so I could back up my files on my laptop (windows vista) and my PS3 (120GB). I later found out that the NTFS filing system (or whatever it is) isn't recognised by PS3, which requires the FAT32. But Windows can't use FAT32 filing system, but uses the NTFS system. In terms of programming stuff, I am terrible. I can do stuff as long as I am told exactly what to do.

Now of course, this is quite frustrating as I bought the hard drive for both the laptop and PS3. But is there a way to format the external hard drive (Seagate, 500GB, portable if that makes a difference) so that part of it is FAT32 (preferably about 120GB of it, maybe more) and the rest NTFS?
Can you make a larger partition (?) than 32GB for the FAT32 or do you make multiple FAT32's (will the PS3 recognise this if you do have to)?
And lastly, if you can post an easy to follow video or article that would be great.

Sorry if this is confusing to follow, but, as I said before, I am rubbish when it comes to computer (except for the basics.)

Cheers

Pytanie #24:

getting a new ps3! and swapping data!?

is it possible for me to swap data on a ps3 directly to another using a portable usb hard drive? its just i dont want to use the ethernet cable and i think this sounds easier,

so is it basically just a case of formating the origonal ps3s data onto my usb, and then transfering the data onto the new one? and if so where do i find the options to do so on the ps3 homescreen? thanks

Pytanie #25:

Can a PS3 copy AVI movies from a portable HDD, store them and play them?

Can a PS3 copy AVI movies from a portable HDD, store them and play them?

Pytanie #26:

How do I connect my specific laptop to my specific TV?

I am about to get a Dell Studio 1458, and I have a 19 inch Magnavox TV I plan on connecting it to.

My TV has these ports:

(Side AV is taken, HDMI is taken, so I just have component and VGA input)

The Studio 14 has a VGA port and an HDMI port, however I cannot use the HDMI because my PS3 (connected via HDMI) is already connected to my TV and I don't want to switch them constantly. I'd preferably like to use the VGA port, but from my reading it only supports 800 x 600 and I'd like to run my laptop at 1366 x 768 resolution (which my TV supports as well). How would I accomplish this?

I am planning on using this set up to run a few "demanding" casual games (Like Portal and Team Fortress 2) so I can have a larger screen but still have a portable machine. So I need HD video and sound in whatever I do.

PS: I am not the most tech savvy person in the world but I do know quite a bit about technology. Thanks :)

Pytanie #27:

Pytanie #30:

I am looking to buy portable storage device. Can you help me?

I need a portable hardrive or somthing that will hold my HD videos (One that iether plays HD up to 1080p files or that can atleast connect to my ps3 and I can browse the files to play)

I want it so that it can store files that are bigger than 4gb. For some reason I think Fat32 formatted storage will not allow a file bigger than 4gb... most of my videos are 7-8gb.

So What do you have in mind? What should I look for and some key features i shud look for into buying these storage devices?

Pytanie #31:

Some little questions about PS3?

I'm gonna buy a new slim PS3 in a few weeks. I have a handful of questions that aren't going to change my mind, but it would be nice to know.

-I know you can plug portable storage into the PS3. Can I plug a flash drive into it and copy, say, a video or some music to the hard drive, or do these things have to be ripped straight off the disc? Ripping and correctly tagging over 100 CD's sounds tedious and time consuming, so I hope this is a yes.

-I don't have an HDTV, just a CRT TV with component plugins. How much does a component cable cost, and is it really that much better? I know it is on 360, but what about PS3?

-My old 360 could compete with the loudest of jet engines and serves as a nice furnace in the winter. Does the PS3 throw off this much heat and noise?

-I heard that some games require you to install them to the hard drive. Is this true? How long does it take? And will 120GB be enough?

Last, but not least, I didn't trade in my 360 but I did trade in my PS2, which ranks as one of the top 10, nay the top 5, no top 3 most knuckleheaded, stupid, harebrained, dunderheaded, birdbrained, boneheaded, dips***ted (there aren't enough adjectives here), idiotic mistakes I've ever made. Did anyone else have this regret, once they got their PS3? Or do I need to get a hold of another PS2 and buy back the Jaks, the Ratchets, the God of Wars, the Burnouts...
Really, the biggest regret from the PS2 is getting rid of a copy of the original Half-Life, in almost perfect condition. Not even the slightest tear in the plastic...

I just opened my BRAND NEW portable HDD I bought today, and I saw on a website this morning when I was researching the drive it had FAT32 formatted on the HDD. Pytanie #37:

A console game or a DSi?

K, so my uncle has two boys ages 8 and 6. He's debating to get them either a DSi or a "tv game". So tv game meaning xbox, ps3, wii ect. So DSi is portable, but only one person can play it.While a "tv game" more than one person can play. So taking in account price, age, utility, ect. What should he get? A DSi or a "tv game". And if a "tv game", than which console? please explain too. :)
oh, also the boys are very "mature". Meaning that they've been brought up with action and fighting toys instead of barney and stuff. :)

Pytanie #40:

Why won't Apple create a gaming console?

Lets see

they've dominated the MP3 player market
they've dominated the mobile phone market (i see dozens of iPhones each day and only a few others)
they're starting to overtake microsft in the laptop/desktop computer market (i know 5 peoe who switched from PC to mac this year. Including me!)

Whats left???? Gaming Market!!!

I know the iPod Touch is considered a portable console now (i have one and its better for gaming than my PSP 3000) but they need a console like the Xbox 360 PS3 etc.

I would TOTALLY buy one unless they really sucked.... No matter what the price is.

Any rumors about this? Estimated prices?

Thanks

Pytanie #41:

how do I transfer large files onto my hard drive?

I am trying to transfer large a 4.4 gb video file onto my portable hard drive which in end I will put on my Ps3. My computer wont let me transfer a 4.4 gb file onto the hard drive. I was reading on a forum board that I need to format the hard drive in NTFS format because FAT32 doesn't support files larger than 4 GB. Thats great but I have no idea what that means. I can write html, I build websites but I know nothing about drivers and the functionality of them. I know what they do but... hmmm... I just need to know what I need to do, will doing this delete everything on my hard drive? Can somebody direct me to step by step instructions because I have 800GB I need to transfer and can't do so on half the files.. darn that bluray. Anyways, help!!
If i format will it delete all my files on the drive?

I know I have the room thats not the problem.

I am going to click on those links and see where that gets me.
OMG Aaron, you are a life saver that website helped out perfect plus I thought I was all pro skill on the command prompt lol, there is one thing in there I got stuck on the volume label, I found out later it was the name of my drive "My Book" in any case I have damaged files I can't transfer but at least I know what to do now.

How do I put you as the best answer? ha ha

Pytanie #42:

Turtle Beach vs Astros?

I was looking into buying a nice gaming headset for my xbox. I looked at the TB X41 and the Astros A30. I like the wireless of the X41 and the lower pricing, but the Astros looks slimmer, and more portable so I could use it with my iPod. I think I am leaning towards the X41 because its cheaper and it's wireless, plus the sound quality is supposedly great. Any opinions? What do you all prefer. And no I will never own a PS3 so I don't need to worry about getting the X41 and then not being able to use it with the PS3. So yeah any preferences and suggestions would be appreciated.

Pytanie #43:

What are some good things a ps3 can do that a psp cant ( i want to have a comeback for my friends)?

Pytanie #44:

Which gaming console or device should I save up for?

I'm possibly thinking of buying another game console or portable device. I have an Xbox 360. So, should I save up for a PS3, PSP, Wii, Nintendo DSi XL?

Pytanie #45:

What would be worth saving for? iPod or PS3?

Okay, well I wanted to lay down something to keep me busy for a while since Summer's coming up and I have nothing better to do.
I play piano and learn by ear, so an iPod would be very useful especially for on-the-go times.
My last iPod got stolen along with my LG Shine and Wallet with about $30 in it, in school during Gym Class. It was a great iPod Nano 5th Gen (correct me if im wrong) the one with the Video Camera on it and wide screen like the previous generation and I only had it for about 2 months.
The PS3 though, is really entertaining and my xbox 360 got the red rings in August of 2009, and I had it since December 2008.
My older sister owns a PS3 and her son introduced me to Call of Duty: MW2
(Im 15 and he's 12) I used to look up to him in Call of Duty (I was always pro at Halo, Combat Arms, etc; but he was better in CoD)
After 2 days, I finally got 10x better than him and getting my FPS gamer skills back.
I wondered what I should buy?
I have $40 so far because I've been paying for a lot of other things so.... By the middle of summer I should have enough to buy one of the two.
I find the iPod to be portable and contribute to my musical life
But the PS3 is so entertaining and I would be using it way more than the iPod (If i was at home more)

Pytanie #46:

how to use laptop screen to play PS3?

I've seen my friend playing his PS3 original on his laptop, connected via a cable and thus using his laptop screen as a portable screen while he was on holiday. Does anyone know what cable I require to play the ps3 on a laptop screen?
You have been misinformed. I have seen various models of laptops which support both input and output, although it is not common. Please revise your facts before giving incorrect information into the community

Pytanie #50:

Hardcore gamer + mac=?

I love gaming. I have a ps3 which I use for much of my gaming but I need something more portable. obviously I would lean more towords Sager, Asus, Dell/Alienware etc. Enter the problem: I have to have a mac. There are several reasons for this but what it boils down to is I need a mac. so my question is am I going to be able to play my PC games on the new i7 macs using bootcamp. I don't have a Win 7 disc but I do have an XP disc. Also, any advice on how to get one cheaper/discount would be appreciated.
@robinofdahoodda2nd
bootcamp comes on every mac. it's a dual boot utility. so I would be dual booting.
