I purchased the 120GB and on the tag it says "120GB hw h chas" what does that mean? It's an abbreviation for something. Should i return it and get the 160GB?
The 120GB that i got is the slim. I didn't get to see the 160GB. I asked the kid what the difference was and he said he didn't know.

I have been wanting a PS3 but the only HDTV my family has is a plasma. The plasma is from 2008 and I'm worried about burn in. I have already seen after images that have later gone away. So here are my other options:

I could get the PS3 with a small led.

I could just get a bigger and maybe better led tv with the price of the PS3 and small led combined.

Which should I get? I would not have much use for a TV without a PS3.

I am looking at a 24" led if I do get one.

Oh yeah one more thing, the rapid fire controller I got off of Ebay, not gamestop. The controller itsself was 90 bucks! So I took off 10 bucks when I added everything together for my price because I had the rapid fire controller defaulted to mode 2 which works really well.

I'm looking for one that's pretty good and/or at a cheap price. Basically what's the best one to use, any price, and what's the best one to use but is pretty cheap. I'm still somewhat deciding between these two: HD PVR ( I think that's what it's called) and Dazzle DVD Recorder. If Dazzle is really good which one should I get? Hey, why even pay at all. I've been very disappointed with Microsoft lately. Everytime my subscription is going to end for Live, my connection gets so laggy everyday of the expiration week. I want to hear some opinions. I really don't play games, but I got my Xbox from some friends for surprise. So, should I continue with the 360, move on to the PS3 or just don't play at all. I'd be more inclined to buy one online from a Computer store, Game.co Or Even Play.com, but if i wanted one on Pay Day, & went to a Game Store, how do i know they aren't shoving me off with a 2nd hand PS3, that someone may of just walked in with days earlier

I know they shouldn't do this, but i've seen what they do, they just stick on a security sticker & call it new, the last one i bought was second hand but that's only cause i asked for it, but even then, the bloke who had bought it in to sell was the person who was stood in front of me in the queue.

I felt well sorry for the bloke cause i paid £400, & the look he gave me when i was told the price, well he was a bit annoyed to say the least, & thats all they did, they stuck on a security sticker & from the outside it looked new,

I have a 46' samsung 1080p hdtv hooked up to an onkyo HT-S7100 receiver which is connected to both my PS3 and Cox HD DVR all through HDMI cables, these are monster cables i got at best buy for a ridiculous price that are at least a year old and are almost about to reach the 2 year range, I know the ps3 has had pretty frequent updates since then and i have been unable to even watch my blue rays for a few months now and i noticed that my tv is having trouble showing 1080i picture from my DVR, sometimes even dropping the picture when changing channels, ever since a recent update a couple of days ago, so i figure i need to upgrade some of my cables in order to get everything working again.

Do I really have to switch out all my cables?
Would New cables work with my old ones?
I guess I would just like to know how many HDMI cables I should buy or for which pieces of equipment? if someone could recommend a really good cable for a good price as well I would really appreciate it.

Could it reach a floor below it (my bedroom) and still have a great connection?
I have a PS3 which I know has built in wi-fi, so I wouldn't need any additional hardware to get online that if I set up the router, right?
I'm buying a computer for my room in about two months, don't I need a special card or something installed in it in order to recieve the connection, and what's the best one I can get for a reasonably low price?

I need a good gaming router for a VERY large home network. If anyone knows of one please read on for details!?

Im looking to set up a rather LARGE home network involving a minimum of 3 computers 2 Xbox 360s a PS3 Wii and a network storage device (LAN Hard Drive). I need a good router (hopefully either D-Link or Linksys) that can support such a task. Mind you what I listed above is MINIMUM... there may be more added in the future. Price isnt TOO much of an object but Id rather have something reasonable if possible.
No we do not have FIOS. I wish LOL! Instead we will have a minimum of a 16 mbps Comcast (sad face) connection. Up/Down speeds obviously are important but the answer I am looking for is for a router that can handle the port forwarding / trigger etc. for such a massive load.
Didnt read the whole post... yeah I CAN upgrade to a business line... for an extra 100 a month! But it would be worth it... the advertise 100 mbps! Whether thats true or not I dont know... but if it is then I will have to go with that.

why games require high performance pc i mean when you buy a powerful gaming PC with Core i5/i7 you most pay at least 1000 bucks?

does the ps3 have such a powerful GPU and CPU so it can play 1080p full hd games just like other expensive PCs?

Since the release of PS3, everyone has been saying "PSN sucks"


What I really think that makes PSN "inferior" to Xbox Live is that almost no one uses their Bluetooth headsets.

I'm playing online on PSN, and I feel that it's offline.


Please, if you have a headset, use it. If you don't, and you can't afford the official PS3 Bluetooth headset, just buy one like the Motorola H700 on eBay. It's cheap, between the price of $10-$15.


I'm pretty sure that as soon as all those gamers on PSN start using headset, it will be better.


I think that using headset can even improve teamwork online!

I'm deciding whether or not I should save up for a 3DS.
I know it's gonna have 3D effects, but my eyesight isn't really all that good.
