PS3 1080p Games HELP!?

I noticed that some of the games I have support the video resolution 1080p, but when I play the games they only go into 720p, but my HDTV can support 1080p and I have the HDMI cord plugged in and all. So can anyone help me with this?

My company is having an event built around High Definition. What are some good video games?

The theme of this year's event is high-definition. My coworker is responsible for setting all of this up, and he knows that I play video games because I have talked about play Halo 3 a lot. I used to play a lot more games, but I wouldn't consider myself knowledgeable about what games look best in HD.

They are going to have an Xbox 360, a Wii, and a PS3. He said he doesn't need help with kids games, but he wants some ideas for adult games. He has to entertain 350 people and we've only come down to 2 games so far: Halo 3:ODST and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (on the PS3). He wants something where people can compete against each other that will be fun for adults. (He told me he has to WOW 350 people in a 3 hour time span and this includes some of our vendors, our customers, and other people within the company).

Please let me know of some other good HD games and any other suggestions for an event like this that you can think of!! Extra info: they are going to have a mock casino like deal (with card tables, etc) and then they will have Avatar 3D playing on a big screen, so it's like a big deal event all about HD and competition (the video games kind of applies to both).
Chaos Punk - ODST comes with the multiplayer for Halo 3, including all maps. We picked ODST for the Firefight and for the multiplayer for Halo 3.

My brother was recently involved in owning things on his computer he shouldn't have owned. The ICE homeland security seized his computer, and it does have some bad things on it.

My brother confessed and our whole house cooperated with the agents, and now we are waiting for the legal side of things.

My brother and I are wondering, if he has to register as a sex offender, even the level one, not likely to re-offend, how normal of a life will he be able to live.

Would he ever be able to have children, go to shopping malls, or play online video games (PS3/ Xbox 360). He has also always been interested in owning a business, most likely a restaraunt. Can he do this as a sex offender.

By the way, he has no priors, and we live in North East Minnesota, and he is only 20.

I'm not defending what he did, but I want to know if after rehabilitation and having to register, how things might be for him.

My step son is ridiculously lazy. How can I help motivate him?

Here's the break down. He's 19. He simply refuses to get a job or go to school. Currently he lives with his mother in Texas, his dad and I live in California. He stayed with us for 8 months last year, and no matter what we did we couldn't get him to get a job, or even off the couch. He's really motivated to do absolutely nothing. If we took the PS3 controllers, he's sit on the computer all day. If we shut the internet off also, he'd watch TV. If we shut the cable down, he'd sleep all day. His dad and I both work full time, and are not home to make him get off the couch.

His mother is throwing up her hands, partly because now he's hanging out with a bunch of drug addicts. (I don't really blame her), so he is moving back in with us. What can I do? Any suggestions?

When I ask him what he wants to do, he says nothing. He wants us to support him forever. When I suggest things like going to school to be a video game designer, he says it's too much work. I'm so exasperated with him, I just want him to do SOMETHING. Anything.

I know he likes photography, but he won't work at that either. How can I get him excited about doing something with his life?

I am willing to negotiate but I am not going any lower then $550.00. Also the rapid fire controller I got off of ebay for 90 dollars. Its defaulted to mode 2 and if you want to see how it works look up Xtreme Modded Controllers on Ebay or youtube and theres a video. I had the controller defaulted to mode 2 at all times.

@MrKnowItAll: Your username is more then a reason for me to say screw your answer. The ps3 is only 2 months old, its the new slim one that is about 300 dollars new and 250 used. And most of the games Im selling im only charging like 5 to 15 dollars for. The only ones that a more expensive are MW2, W@W, and Killzone 2.

2nd, Can you get banned for it?

3rd, i know that the new 2.42 update was to block that much as pos but can it still be used offline?? ( Because still gonna buy real games that want online like fifa and cod ) But wanting to just rent a game like mafia 2 , kane and lynch 2. More or less for story. lol.

Why won't my PS3 console play on my CRT Sony 29" TV? I have tried connecting with a Composite RCA cable.?

The single end plugs into the AV Multi Out port on the PS3 and the other three jacks plug into Video for the picture and Audio L and R for the sound.
I've read the tutorial and that's all I need to do but nothing happened after I plugged the cables in. I've seen much older tv models than mine that were compatible with ps3 and I wondered why mine didn't work.

I have an American PS3, I bought this because in europe the PS3 was released like 6 months late, so we thought that the PS3 wasn't region coded, well my european (english) games some of them didn't work, so I was able to get a european PS3, only now I got the YLOD with expired warranty, so I'm back to my American PS3, but some games don't work (english games bear in mind) it says that they can't be played at the current video output (error code is too long, the first 4 characters are 800F I think) How can I fix this? Multiple PS3 Problems?

Well, First of all. My PS3 has been having a lot of problems lately. I just bought new A/V cables and when I plug it in I can see everything the video is fine but the Sound isn't. Theres this irritating buzzing noise, and Horizontal lines.

Second problem is that whenever I try to turn on my controller these 4 Red lights flash for about 2 minutes then turn off.

I have home sharing turned on for my PS3 (it's FANTASTIC), but it has recently become evident that my wi-fi broadcaster -I can't remember the name- isn't powerful enough. Every so often while watching videos on my PS3, it will stop and start for about 15 seconds. Is that actually a problem with the wi-fi or something else? If it is the wi-fi adapter, can you please suggest one that is cheap, and is powerful enough to support videos completely without ANY breaks AT ALL, is reliable and is easy to set up?

i want to know a way to download the videos safely with no virus attachments, without using a P2P share site, and in an avi. format. i tried using the pirate bay download and it wouldn't let me. so then i tried the utorrent download and as i was downloading it, people were uploading and downloading porn from my hard drive. so once i got it cleaned, i figured i would take another crack at it. any help?

P.S. the utorrent and pirate bay downloads are in iso format. my computer isnt compatible. i want a format that will work on my PS3. that format is avi.

My parents don't let me plat violent video games. every 5 seconds or so, it makes a buzzing noise which will last about 4-5 seconds. So when I opened up the video flap and pressed the thin metal plate down it stops, so I decided to push it down now the sound has gone. It's annoying, since I don't really use videos it doesn't matter, but when I'm playing on the ps3 it annoys me most.

My husband played on the ps3 all day long, cussing and being angry of course but he continued. when I went to bed, naturally "his doctor" was suddenly too tired to pay attention to him. I'm trying to upload a large video file with tversity. (19gb) It's amazing quality. It plays great on my computer, but when I transfer it over to the ps3, it has no sound. The picture is great, but there is no sound. However, when I transcode it (with tversity) it has sound when I stream it, but the quality is not as good. Any suggestions? How can I transfer this large file over to the ps3 without sacrificing quality or sound?

I live in a rural area, so access to "High Speed" internet is limited. I would like to be able to play PS3 games without any lag and download videos/music at a resonable rate. A local provider is offering a connection with "speeds up to 3.0 Mbps down and 512 Kbps up". Would this connection be fast enough to do what I want??? Thanks for your help/advice!
