Should I buy a secondhand XBOX with 20 games?

My local gameshop is selling a secondhand XBOX (the predecessor to the XBOX 360) with around 20 odd games (stuff like GTA, Vex, Prince of Persia, Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks), 2 controllers and a memory card for around $200. I currently also own a PS2 with around 20 titles. What do you guys think? Should I go for it or rather save up for a more modern (360/PS3) console?

My company is having an event built around High Definition. What are some good video games?

The theme of this year's event is high-definition. My coworker is responsible for setting all of this up, and he knows that I play video games because I have talked about play Halo 3 a lot. I used to play a lot more games, but I wouldn't consider myself knowledgeable about what games look best in HD.

They are going to have an Xbox 360, a Wii, and a PS3. He said he doesn't need help with kids games, but he wants some ideas for adult games. He has to entertain 350 people and we've only come down to 2 games so far: Halo 3:ODST and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (on the PS3). He wants something where people can compete against each other that will be fun for adults. (He told me he has to WOW 350 people in a 3 hour time span and this includes some of our vendors, our customers, and other people within the company).

Please let me know of some other good HD games and any other suggestions for an event like this that you can think of!! Extra info: they are going to have a mock casino like deal (with card tables, etc) and then they will have Avatar 3D playing on a big screen, so it's like a big deal event all about HD and competition (the video games kind of applies to both).
Chaos Punk - ODST comes with the multiplayer for Halo 3, including all maps. We picked ODST for the Firefight and for the multiplayer for Halo 3.

My PS3 died this morning, I went and bought a slim, how do I swap out the hard drives?

Ok, I already know how to physically swap out the hard drives. But my old PS3 has a 500GB hard drive, and all my saves are on it. I want all my saves on the new PS3, and also the 500 GB hard drive, at least for the time being, might want it back if it gets repaired or something, but whatever-the saves are what matter here. Anyway, the old PS3 is mostly dead, not going to be able to use the back up utility on it as it won't even turn on. I thought I could just simply swap out the hard drives like you can with the 360, but I did and it is not working, it wants to reformat the hard drive, which it mustn't do because all the saves are on there. How can I get my saves off of that hard drive? Will it work if I put it in an encasement so that I can connect it to my computer? Will I be able to back up the saves onto my computer, and then put them onto a flash drive or something, put whatever hard drive I want into the PS3, reformat if necessary, and then transfer all the saves onto the ps3 from the flash drive?

Help with PS3 controller drivers for pc...?

I'm trying to install the driver for my Dualshock 3 controller, but when I download them my laptop won't let me install them properly because they can only be opened with my Fusion emulator.
Any ideas on how I can fix this? It might be as simple as just choosing what programme to open the driver with instead of the emulator one (which it automatically does). I've tried Java and Adobe because they were the only things I could think of, but neither worked.

I'm really inexperienced with this, so I'd like some advice (otherwise I might end up messing up my laptop).

(Note: I'm using Vista and I've downloaded the "Motioninjoy" driver.)

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I've got a problem with lag.?

When im online playing a game on my PC i have a good connection, then it suddenly freezes, then fixes again, then freezes, then fixes again and this changes about every 30 seconds and i can't figure out a solution!... This also happens the same way with my ps3, and my brothers Xbox. I know what lag is and how it looks, but this seems different and i've never seen it before.

i've even turned everyother internet connection off in my house including (ps3, xbox, mom's laptop, brother's computer) but this doesn't seem to make a difference at all !!

My brother was recently involved in owning things on his computer he shouldn't have owned. The ICE homeland security seized his computer, and it does have some bad things on it.

My brother confessed and our whole house cooperated with the agents, and now we are waiting for the legal side of things.

My brother and I are wondering, if he has to register as a sex offender, even the level one, not likely to re-offend, how normal of a life will he be able to live.

Would he ever be able to have children, go to shopping malls, or play online video games (PS3/ Xbox 360). He has also always been interested in owning a business, most likely a restaraunt. Can he do this as a sex offender.

By the way, he has no priors, and we live in North East Minnesota, and he is only 20.

I'm not defending what he did, but I want to know if after rehabilitation and having to register, how things might be for him.

My step son is ridiculously lazy. How can I help motivate him?

Here's the break down. He's 19. He simply refuses to get a job or go to school. Currently he lives with his mother in Texas, his dad and I live in California. He stayed with us for 8 months last year, and no matter what we did we couldn't get him to get a job, or even off the couch. He's really motivated to do absolutely nothing. If we took the PS3 controllers, he's sit on the computer all day. If we shut the internet off also, he'd watch TV. If we shut the cable down, he'd sleep all day. His dad and I both work full time, and are not home to make him get off the couch.

His mother is throwing up her hands, partly because now he's hanging out with a bunch of drug addicts. (I don't really blame her), so he is moving back in with us. What can I do? Any suggestions?

When I ask him what he wants to do, he says nothing. He wants us to support him forever. When I suggest things like going to school to be a video game designer, he says it's too much work. I'm so exasperated with him, I just want him to do SOMETHING. Anything.

I know he likes photography, but he won't work at that either. How can I get him excited about doing something with his life?

I am willing to negotiate but I am not going any lower then $550.00. Also the rapid fire controller I got off of ebay for 90 dollars. Its defaulted to mode 2 and if you want to see how it works look up Xtreme Modded Controllers on Ebay or youtube and theres a video. I had the controller defaulted to mode 2 at all times.

@MrKnowItAll: Your username is more then a reason for me to say screw your answer. The ps3 is only 2 months old, its the new slim one that is about 300 dollars new and 250 used. And most of the games Im selling im only charging like 5 to 15 dollars for. The only ones that a more expensive are MW2, W@W, and Killzone 2.

I have a 42' LCD Toshiba Flat Screen. I thought it was 1080 quality, but when I go the HDMI selection to play my PS3, the top of the screen says it is 720. Is there a menu option or something on the TV to look?

I don't know where my papers for the TV are, or what TV I have to that matter.

Why is Battlefield Bad Company 2 for PS3 so dark?

I have over 30 ps3 games and i have my HDTV set the same for all the games, anf they all look great. Except BC2. When i started up the game it was so dark on the first level, so i went to settings and maxed out the contrast and brightness. It lightened it up a little but still dark. Then when i went to the snow level it to damn bright!!! What recomendations would you all consider? It really messes the game up for me cuz i can't see anything. And don't tell me that my TV sucks cuz i know it doesn't. Give me good responses, Thanks

Just bought a new plasma TV, ps3 connected to it and now the amp has no sound?

To be more specific.
We just bought a new PLASMA television today and we've set it up and everything is fine. We then hooked up the playstation 3 to it and the amp to go with it and there is absolutely no sound coming from the amp for the ps3. There IS sound from the TV, but no sound from the amp at all. It is very frustrating because with the previous TV which is a lot smaller, it worked fine. No extra cables needed or anything. What's the problem?

To the first and second answers, we've already tried both ways! :-(
We've had a music clip playing while trying to get sound on the ps3 through the amp. We've checked the wires, inputs and everything else and nothing seems to work.

I purchased the 120GB and on the tag it says "120GB hw h chas" what does that mean? It's an abbreviation for something. Should i return it and get the 160GB?

I'd be more inclined to buy one online from a Computer store, Game.co Or Even Play.com, but if i wanted one on Pay Day, & went to a Game Store, how do i know they aren't shoving me off with a 2nd hand PS3, that someone may of just walked in with days earlier
